AI-generated illustrationWhat "AI Santa" means, product by product
"AI Santa" covers a few different things. It helps to know which one you are buying.
- The letter. AI writing tools draft the letter from a template plus the details you share. A good service limits what the AI can say and screens the result.
- The voice. Text-to-speech turns the letter or script into Santa's voice. No actor records your child's letter. The words are generated as audio.
- The video. An AI-generated Santa is lip-synced to that voice, so he appears to say your child's name. He is a digital performer, not a real person in a costume.
- The phone call. An AI voice agent calls at a booked time and talks in real time. It listens so it can reply, which makes privacy rules more important here than anywhere else.
What information the service uses, and what to leave out
Personalization only needs a little: a first name, how to say it, an age range and a few happy details. It does not need a last name, home address, school, photos, date of birth or health information, and you shouldn't give them. Before you type anything, check three things in the privacy policy: how long the details are kept, whether they are used to train AI, and whether they ever go into links, analytics or ad tools. Ours are in our Privacy Policy.
What happens on an AI Santa phone call
A well-run call puts a grown-up in charge from the first second. On a call from A Little Santa Magic:
- Santa calls at the time you chose, only between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. in the called phone's local time, from (702) 659-8066.
- The call opens with a short message for the grown-up who answers. It says this is the call booked through A Little Santa Magic, that Santa's voice is AI-generated, and asks whether the child is ready. If the answer is no, or nobody responds, Santa doesn't start.
- Santa greets your child by first name and chats for about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Calls are not recorded and no transcript is kept. Nothing your child says is stored or sent to you.
- If nobody answers, Santa tries once more a few minutes later, then we email you a link to pick a new time. On voicemail, Santa's message isn't left.
- Anyone can ask Santa not to call again, and the calls stop.
What Santa will and won't say
Santa uses only the details you gave. He won't promise specific gifts, ask for personal information such as last names, addresses or schools, ask your child to keep secrets, or mention anything for sale. If a child raises something worrying, Santa responds gently and suggests talking to a grown-up. If a grown-up asks whether Santa is a real person, the call says truthfully that his voice is AI-generated.
A checklist for any AI Santa service
- Does it say clearly that Santa is AI-generated?
- Can you see and hear everything before your child does?
- Is the call recorded or transcribed? Is anything your child says kept?
- Does a grown-up answer first, and can you stop a call?
- Which hours will it call, and from what number?
- How long are your child's details kept, and are they used to train AI?
- What happens if the name is mispronounced or a detail is wrong?
- Is there a subscription, or is it a one-time charge?
Talking with your child about it
There is no single right answer. Some families keep the story simple for young children. Others explain that Santa's helpers use new tools to reach every child. For older children who ask directly, honesty at the level of the question usually keeps their trust. Whatever you choose, watch the video and listen to the recording first, so nothing surprises you in front of them.
How A Little Santa Magic handles it
We sell a letter read aloud by Santa ($9.95), a lip-synced video that says your child's name ($14.95), a phone call ($19.95), or all three for $29.95. Everything appears on your private Santa page, with the link emailed to you, before you share it. Child details and files are deleted 60 days after delivery and are never used to train AI. If something isn't right, Fix a detail remakes it free under the Santa Promise, explained in our Terms of Sale. Our full AI disclosure explains each step.
Questions parents ask
Is the Santa in the video a real person?
No. The Santa in A Little Santa Magic videos is an AI-generated digital performer, lip-synced to an AI-generated voice. The videos are labeled as AI-generated.
Is the Santa phone call recorded?
No. Calls are not recorded and no transcript is kept. The call system listens in real time only so Santa can reply. Only call logistics are kept, such as the time, the number called, whether it connected and how long it lasted.
Will AI Santa ask my child for personal information?
No. Santa won't ask for last names, addresses or schools, won't ask your child to keep secrets and won't promise specific gifts or mention anything for sale.
Can my child talk to Santa without a grown-up?
A grown-up answers first. The call opens with a short message saying it is the call booked through A Little Santa Magic and that Santa's voice is AI-generated, then asks whether the child is ready. If the answer is no, or nobody responds, Santa doesn't start.
What if AI Santa mispronounces my child's name?
You tell us how to say the name when you order, and you see and hear everything on your private Santa page first. If something is wrong, tap Fix a detail and it is remade free under the Santa Promise.
Is my child's information used to train AI?
No. Your child's details, letters, videos and calls are not used to train AI models, and our service providers aren't allowed to either. Child details and files are deleted 60 days after delivery.
