Three kinds of personalized Santa videos

"Personalized video from Santa" covers a few quite different things. Knowing which kind you are looking at makes it much easier to judge what you will get.

Template videos with a name added

A recorded Santa performance with a few slots for your child: their name on a scroll or a screen, sometimes a photo you upload, sometimes the name spoken in one or two places. They are quick and often free or low cost. The personal part is usually limited to those few slots, and the rest of the video is the same for every child.

AI-generated Santa videos

A digital Santa performer and an AI voice, made for your child from the details you share. Santa can say their name and talk about the things they love, so more of the video is about your child. This is the kind we make. A good one should say clearly, on screen, that Santa is AI-generated.

Live video visits

A real person in a Santa suit on a video call, booked for a time slot. It is the most interactive option, because your child can ask questions and Santa answers in the moment. It usually costs the most, needs a booking, and can be a lot for a shy child.

None of these is the best for every family. Toddlers often do best with a short video they can watch again and again. Older children who are full of questions may enjoy a live visit or a phone call from Santa more.

Our Santa videos, free and paid

Santa in our videos is an AI-generated digital performer with an AI-generated voice, not a real person, and every video shows "AI-generated Santa" on screen. Here is how our two videos compare with the free letter:

You can start the free Santa video in about a minute, or see the personal video from Santa with its samples first. If a keepsake you can print matters more than a video, the free letter in the box above is the one to pick.

What makes a Santa video feel personal

Children are sharp critics. These are the things that make the difference between a polite smile and a gasp:

  • Hearing their name. A name said out loud lands far harder than a name on a sign in the background, especially for children who cannot read yet.
  • One true detail. When Santa mentions the dinosaur obsession or the new baby brother, the video stops being generic. One real detail beats five vague ones.
  • The right length. Under a minute holds a three year old. Older children will sit for longer if it is really about them.
  • Warmth, not a sales pitch. Santa should not promise gifts, mention products or ask your child for anything.
  • A pronunciation you have checked. Unusual names and nicknames are where any video can stumble, so watch it first and ask for a remake if it sounds off.

How to share it so the moment lands

  • Watch it yourself first. Every one of our videos comes to you before your child sees it, so you can check the name and the details.
  • Pick a calm moment. After dinner, just before bed, or on Christmas Eve. Not in the middle of a busy morning.
  • Go big. Cast it to the TV or hand them the tablet. Turn the captions on for early readers.
  • Let them rewatch. Younger children often want to see it five times in a row, and that is part of the fun.
  • Think before you post. Filming their reaction makes a lovely keepsake. Many families keep those clips private rather than posting children's faces and names publicly.
  • Send it to family. Grandparents who live far away love a copy. Use the private link or download the video and share it however your family usually does.

Talking to your child about an AI Santa

Every family handles Santa in its own way, and we will not tell you what to say. What we can do is make sure you know exactly what you are showing them: an AI-made Santa, labeled on screen and explained on our AI disclosure page.

Some families present it like a Christmas movie in which their child happens to be the star. Others read the "AI-generated Santa" label together with an older child and talk about how it was made. Both are fine. If you want the details first, how AI Santa works explains what Santa will and will not say, and what happens to the details you share.

Before you choose any Santa video service

Whoever you pick, these questions are worth a minute. Our own answers are in brackets.

  • Is the price clear before you start, and is it a one-time payment rather than a subscription? (Yes. Free, or $14.95 once.)
  • Does it say plainly how the video is made? (Yes. AI-generated Santa, on screen and on our disclosure page.)
  • What does it ask for? It should never need a last name, address, school or photo. (We ask for first names and happy details only.)
  • How long does it keep your child's details? (We delete them 60 days after delivery, or sooner if you ask.)
  • What happens if the name sounds wrong? (We remake it free, as many times as it takes.)
  • Does Santa promise gifts? (Never, so Christmas morning stays yours.)
  • Does it come by a private link? (Yes, emailed to you.)

Personalized Santa video questions

Is there a free personalized video from Santa?

Yes. Our free Santa video says your child's first name and mentions one thing they love, with no credit card. It is one free gift per family: the free video or the free letter, not both. The personal video that uses five things about your child is $14.95, a one-time payment.

Is the Santa in the video a real person?

No. Santa in our videos is an AI-generated digital performer with an AI-generated voice, not a real person, and every video shows "AI-generated Santa" on screen.

How long does a personalized Santa video take?

Usually within 15 minutes. We email you a private link to watch, download and share it.

How long is the free Santa video?

The free video is short, under a minute, which suits young children who like to watch it again and again.

What do I need to share?

For the free video, your email, your first name, your child's first name and one thing they love. For the personal video, their name, five things about them, what is on their list and anything else Santa should know. Never a last name, address, school or photo.

Can I download the video and send it to family?

Yes. Each video has captions and a private page where you can watch it, download it and share it with grandparents or anyone else you choose.

What if Santa says the name wrong?

Tell us and we remake it free. That is part of the Santa Promise, and our help center can fix a detail right away.

Can I get the free letter and the free video?

It is one free gift from Santa per family. If you choose the free video, you can add Santa's personal letter afterward as a paid extra, shown with its price before you pay.

Do you need a photo of my child?

No. We never ask for photos, and please do not send any. Santa uses only a first name and the happy details you choose to share.
